I haven't shared much these past months, being busy preparing for my solo show and then unplugging for the actual holidays. But as I look back on 2014, I am filled with too much gratitude to keep to myself.
Thank you for bringing me your worn out cashmere, your stories of new grandchildren and dear friends with the cancer, for sharing wedding days and memorial projects, for letting our lives weave together as the big world around us seems to be unraveling.
Thank you for trusting me with special projects and your everyday style.
Thank you for telling me about the baby hats that still fit and have become signature style elements for your children.
Thank you for wanting a replacement hat, when one has worn out or been lost or handed down to the next generation.
Thank you for helping me find time to get experimental.
Thank you for buying art and craft made by these two hands.
I am planning new projects, new products and new creative situations during these slower months. While I do my quiet winter dreaming, there are still some regular opportunities to get together.
First Friday Art walk is this Friday, January 2. We will be open from 6-9pm at 1318 Bay Street above the Pickford Film Center. I need to do some serious studio cleaning, so expect deals and grab bags as well as random art and your moth and squirrel favorites.
I will be at the Winter Farmer's Market January 17th, February 21 and March 21.
Stay tuned for details on Saturday workshops at the Ragfinery in February and March.
